Paul and the Snake

The story of Paul and the snake is found in the New Testament book of Acts, chapter 28. After surviving a shipwreck on the island of Malta, Paul and his companions were welcomed by the island's inhabitants. While building a fire, a poisonous snake bit Paul's hand. Instead of being harmed, Paul shook the snake off and suffered no ill effects, to the amazement of the locals.
